Each team and organisation is special and unique. Our team coaching process is built around your specific team needs, be it increasing alignment, dealing with internal dynamics, adjusting to change or simply improving performance.

Team Diagnostic and Solution Design

The diagnostic process begins with a discussion with you as the team leader to get your perspective on the challenges facing the team and what you would like to achieve from the coaching process. This is followed by a wider consultation with the whole team which may take the form of a survey, focus group session and/or individual interviews depending on the circumstances. Personality, strengths and communication style assessments will also be done to understand how these elements impact team dynamics. Based on this diagnostic, a coaching programme will then be developed to address the team’s needs.

Group and Individual Coaching Sessions

30-minute or one-hour individual coaching sessions will be conducted with the team leader and group coaching sessions with the whole team. The latter may range from half a day, a whole day or overnight, off-site sessions depending on requirements. This process may also include additional diagnostics to get a deeper understanding of critical issues. All team members will also be expected to undertake assignments in between sessions such as practising new behaviours and/or reflecting on certain aspects.

Progress Reviews

Regular reviews will be conducted with the team leader to assess progress and make any adjustments necessary to ensure that the coaching programme stays on course. These reviews may also include team-wide dipstick surveys to get feedback on what they believe is going well, what areas still need improvement and how the coaching process might be adapted to better serve the team’s needs. This iterative, action-learning approach facilitates greater ownership of the process, which also accelerates the achievement of results.
